Fundraising for worthy causes is part of the Worcester Mass community. As you sit, pondering ideas on how to raise funds for your church, school, or charity, you can be certain that others in your community are starting the same process. You and your neighbors, filled with civic pride, are all about to turn to your communities and ask them to buy some product, walk or run for some cause, or to find some engaging way to motivate them to dig deeper into their pockets.
To be successful there are five things every fundraiser must keep in mind when starting their fundraising plans:
Successful Fundraisers Communicate Clear Goals Of course, the primary goal is to raise money but that’s not good enough. People need to know how their contributions will make a difference. Remember, you are one of dozens of organizations looking for extra dollars. Your goal may be to raise more money than last year. If so, then you must be able to communicate to the community what positive change occurred last year and how more money will build on last year’s good work. Think visually and communicate your organization’s vision. “Because you supported this fundraiser, this is now possible.” The purpose of this blog is to provide tips and advice for successful community fundraising, we will elaborate on each of the abovementioned points in future articles.
